Grade 8 Camping trip!!

On Monday we all went on our P.A.A camping trip to Good Spirit!! It was actually pretty good!! It would have been even better if the mosquito's weren't as bad as they were! I got over 100 mosquito bites on just my legs!!! To get this trip planned we did little things here and there all year round! We first had to decide on a place to go so we had a list of places that we could go and then we all (as a class) voted on it. So I was in the cooking part of P.A.A (instead of computer part). So we learned how to cook and then we would make the breakfast and lunch etc (but needless to say I didn't get up to make breakfast!!) So then for the last couple months our groups got together and we got in our tent groups and then we had to make a PowerPoint. Jackie Maddison, and Megan and I did out power point on first aid! We learnt alto. So much stuff I thought I knew turned out to be wrong or just the first part of it!
The trip to Good Spirit was...Interesting. There was good parts, bad parts, and just plain interesting! The bus ride there was so long! and boring! But once we got there and stepped off the bus I stopped and thought! "Oh wow!" the mosquito's were horrible!! Then we all ran to the bathroom Maddy and Randi fell instantly when they hit the mud! It was so hilarious! So then we set up our tent while Maddy made our lunch (sandwiches) Then after that we went cashing. Our team the earthy earthlings (Randi, Jenna, Savannah, Maddy, Dakota, Danny and I) starting out catching tad poles and frogs! We caught tons of tad poles and a few frogs! After that we went on a scavengar hunt. That was interesting! Expecially Dakota and his cool o meter! WOW! after we played camp games (I didn't bc of my hip thogh) that was amazing sam hurt Spicer and Kyle got Mac in the... well... yea. Bottom line the trip was good even though there was drama it was still good. The Bus ride back was amazing though! Dakota fell asleep and me and Randi drew on his face with eyeliner, well I tried it didn't work bc of all the bumps but I attempted to draw a star and my name on his face...it didn't work. But Randi drew her name on his arm and alot of other stuff on his face! It was amazing!
This trip taught me alot and I got alot of life lessons in this!

Well It's June! The last school month, the last month in elementary school!! wow! I can't believe it!
This year has been amazing! The beginning was kinda weird and slow but then after Christmas it was amazing! I'm going to have so many memories here! And our P.A.A. camping trip is this coming Monday or Tuesday! Can't wait! Then that weekend is the Rodeo weekend as well as my Cousin Logan's FIRST birthday! One already, I can't believe it. So we are having his B-day party on Saturday after the rodeo! Then Sunday me and my friend Emily are going to the second day of the rodeo with another one of our friend Riley. Then June 24th is our grad so we are going bowling, then McDonald's' for lunch and then a movie. then we are having a celebration in the gym at 5:30-7 (I think) then before I know it school will be done this month is going to go by fast!

cyber communication

Cyber communication has defiantly come a very long way in the past few years. But have you ever thought that maybe Cyber communication has come a bit too far. Maybe we all rely on computers, cell phones and all too much, too much to the point that some people don’t know how to carry on a regular conversation face to face. But that doesn’t mean that cyber communication is a complete mistake, there are good sides to cyber communication. In this speech I will talk about my opinion on both sides to Cyber Communication.

First off I’m going to talk about the bad sides to cyber communication. Have you ever really paid attention to the way a teenager (or young adult), talks compared to a 60 or even 40 year old person, it’s completely different. The younger people talks like they are texting while the older people talk, proper (you could say). If you were to look around the city, what do you see all the teenagers (especially) and adults with or doing as they are walking across the street? A cell phone! Lots of people won’t dare to leave the house or there room without a cell phone! Hotmail, face book, twitter and all internet ways of talking can be extremely dangerous too. There are problems from creepy stalkers, to cyber bullying. Did you know that now a day’s murders and kidnappings are actually linked to chatting on the internet!

But like I said before Cyber Communication isn’t all that bad. Cell phones can be very helpful too. It’s a good device to have in case of an emergency! And facebook, twitter and all that is an excellent way to stay up to date with all your friends around the world! But you have to know how to use it properly! Like don’t add people you don’t know and don’t give out too much information about where you live and about yourself.

Bottom line while using twitter, facebook and all of that stuff be careful!

My easter break

My Easter break was actually pretty boring. Well I guess, not as interesting as it usually is.
We went to my grandparent's farm for Easter day, I stayed there to spend some time there with them, the horses, and help out around the house and yard. But I only stayed there till Wednesday, it was going to be longer but my grandpa was in a mood again, so my grandma and I went into Regina, did some errands then went to Boston Pizza for lunch, after that we went to Costco and then she took me home. I really didn't want to go I wanted to stay there, but I all really wanted after my grandpa was getting mad was my dog Beau, he always knew when I was upset, because he would just sit there and let me talk and pet him. But now he's gone!
But other then that little issue, Easter was pretty good!

Term 2 Reflection

Today we are getting our second term report cards!! Time is just flying!!
This term i'm actually kinda scared to see my report card. I don't think I did that well this term. I've been struggling a lot in math, and that one L.A. test for Touching Spirit Bear I didn't read the two chapters so...I failed the test! My family was not too happy with that. So I think that my report card wont be one of the best, thats for sure. I was actually scared that I dropped down to a Bronze honor roll, but I asked my teacher and she said that I had a silver honor roll! Now I just hope that she did read MY report card, not someone else's.
If I dropped down to a bronze honor roll, I will be so shocked and mad! I've never got a Bronze honor roll before, just silver. So I hope that I have a silver honor roll!
So wish me luck for after school when we get our second term report cards!!!

Last weekend was my basketball tounament for RCBA, as well as school basketball, but we didn't make it to the weekend games. But for RCBA we did. In the first game, non of our shots were going in, but the other team (my cousin's team!!who we beat before) their shots went in all the time! then to top that off one of our best players seriously hurt her ankle, so it threw us off. So we lost that game! Then the next game we lost by one point! So last weekend wasn't a great basketball weekend, but it was still fun!

This term is going pretty good, I think i've been doing really good in school. The work is getting a little harder though, but i'm keeping up!I would say my marks are pretty good, maybe a little lower than first term but that is to expected i've been told. I don't talk in class that much so I would say for the most part I do my job! I think for the rest of my term I need to work on math the most, i've always had trouble with math, it's so confusing and hard!! And maybe a little bit of social!
